The first episode of JIMMY's new reality series is here. Subscribers can watch on Zulak, his new streaming & social platform or on Instagram & YouTube. Due to an editing delay, the artist announced the release of the premiere this morning, a day after the initially announced release date of September 21st. The first episode gives fans an inside look on JIMMY's life following the release of his previous album DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY as well as the beginning stages of crafting his next new album. The artist also reveals he'd stopped filming for the comedy variety series that was announced back in May saying that "they'd try again later."
JIMMY is back in the studio recording a new album and he's invited the world to watch. Following the announcement that "Eve and him were making a blockbuster," JIMMY shared a trailer for an upcoming reality series titled The JIMMY Show where fans, haters & spectators can follow the creation process regularly, exclusively on his platform Zulak. In the trailer, we get clips from creators & Hip Hop journalists including NPR, Anthony Fantano of TheNeedleDrop, BlackySpeakz & more commenting on the recent conversation surrounding Hip Hop's decline in popularity. We are also flashed screenshots of YouTube, X (formerly Twitter) and Reddit comments from users around the world sounding off on the topic before the artist interjects saying "Alright. I guess I'll go save Hip Hop." As the voiceover in the trailer suggests, JIMMY has set his sights on creating a project that "changes the landscape of music in general & brings excitement back to Hip Hop." This isn't the first time JIMMY has let spectators into his process as he's already released a 4-part docu-series titled *GHETTOLAND that accompanied an album of the same name back in 2022.
The artist shared a photo of himself during a recording session at Spotify's Los Angeles headquarters on Zulak, his new streaming & social platform. The caption for the photo reads "it's that time again— one more before '24." With the final quarter of 2023 approaching and Hip Hop reaching an all time low in excitement & creativity, JIMMY appears to be laser-focused on sharing a project that cuts through the noise before the year is up.
JIMMY's previous album DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY was released on April 14th following the release of the trailer on his Instagram and the announcement of the release date and cover art. He also shared a new website bearing the same name. Coming off the successful self-release of his previous album *GHETTOLAND back in December, JIMMY hopes to complete the mission he started and establish himself as a notable artist.
